Global Village, one of Dubai’s most popular destinations, has closed for Wednesday night due to adverse weather conditions, as rain continues to pour across the city. Unfortunately, that will also mean that the much-anticipated concert of Mahmoud El Esselly will also be cancelled, with no word whether will be rescheduled.
The site will be closed as of 8:00 pm, according to a release.
“Due to the adverse weather conditions and following consultation with the authorities, Global Village will be closed today, Wednesday 25 January 2023 at 8 pm. This decision means tonight’s planned performance of Mahmoud El Esseily is cancelled. While we share their disappointment, the comfort and wellbeing of our guests is our key priority,” says an official statement from Global Village.
“We thank everyone for their co-operation and understanding. Please stay tuned for the latest updates through our website globalvillage.ae or social media platforms on Facebook (@GlobalVillageAE), Twitter (@GlobalVillageAE) or Instagram (@GlobalVillageUAE),” the statement continues.
Rain in the UAE is set to continue until at least Friday as of now.
