Another piece of Drake weirdness with younger women has popped as of late, this time from a story from model and producer Lil CC, who was interviewed on a podcast recently and told the story of how the rapper first followed her on Instagram when she was still in high school.
“I played basketball, right? He was a fan of, well, not a fan—supported one of my teammates at the time,” says Lil CC, excitedly.
“This is when you were in high school?” the interviewer Adam22 on the NoJumper podcast asks.
“Yeah, high school. He was a fan of women’s high school basketball. I was her teammate so he followed me because of her. I was like, oh s—, you got Drake to flow me? He followed me, and I lost it. I love Drake!”

Several years after they followed each other, the two met, according to a story from Complex, when she was over 18.
The Toronto native then rapped about her on his song “Money in the Grave” in 2019, saying “Lil CC let it slap with the bass.”
According to Complex, the two had a chance run-in at a post-Grammys party, two years after she first messaged him about producing.
“When I ran into him at that event, he came up to me and he was like, ‘CC, are you still making beats?'” she said at the time. “I was like, ‘I kind of just model now, but I have been playing with it.’ And he was like, ‘Man, you got to send me something.'”
CC sent Drake beats, including the beat for “Money in the Grave,” which she developed with friends Ljay Currie and Asoteric.
“He never spoke to me when I was in high school!” Lil CC added on Twitter.
Nevertheless, the circumstances of their meeting, according to Lil CC’s story, have led to some backlash online.
Drake is, of course a popular Canadian rapper, singer, and songwriter known for his catchy beats and smooth vocals. However, over the years, he has been linked to several controversies involving underage women. Let’s take a look at some of the other instances where he has been linked to underage women.

In 2018, Drake was also linked to actress Millie Bobby Brown, who was only 14 years old at the time. The two had met at one of Drake’s concerts, and had struck up a friendship. In an interview, Brown had mentioned that Drake was like a “great friend and mentor” to her, and that they often texted each other. While there was no evidence of any inappropriate behavior, many people criticized the relationship due to the age difference.
The Bella Harris Controversy
In 2018, the star was also linked to model Bella Harris, who was only 18 years old at the time. Drake and Harris had been spotted together on several occasions, and had even posed for photos together. However, Harris denied any romantic involvement with the Toronto native, and stated that they were just friends.
The Billie Eilish Controversy
In 2021, the Grammy winner was linked to singer Billie Eilish, who was only 17 years old at the time. In an interview, Eilish had mentioned that she and Drake had texted each other, and that he was a “nice guy”. However, Eilish had also stated that she found the age difference between them to be “weird”, and that she had stopped responding to his messages.
So, yep, Drake has been linked to several controversies involving underage women over the years. While there is no evidence of any illegal behavior, many people have criticized the popular star for his behavior, and have called for him to be more careful in his interactions with young fans.
