Think you’ve got what it takes to be the next Queen, Led Zepellin or The Rolling Stones? Ever wanted to make it to the big stage of Glastonbury and beyond? Well you’re not going to get a chance to play at the most famous music festival just yet, but a Dubai venue is offering a chance for aspiring bands to take the next step in their career dreams.
A massive battle of the bands competition is coming to McGettigan’s Dubai and musicians will have the chance to win 10,000 dirhams worth of cash prizes.
McGettigan’s is offering bands (maximum of four members) an opportunity to take home a 10K cash prize and the opportunity to record a fully edited single at the Soundstruck Music studio in Dubai.
The winning band will get also get an eight week paid residency at McGettigan’s and a live performance at one of Dubai’s gigs taking place later in the year.
But there’s one condition: bands must be available on Monday evenings though out June and July. The hosts have created an online application and the successful bands will be required to perform a 20 minute set which must include a minimum of one original track.
