Both vaccinated and unvaccinated will still need to present a negative PCR test

Travellers coming from any destination no longer have to quarantine in Abu Dhabi, as long as they’re vaccinated , starting today.

Abu Dhabi removed the requirement starting this morning, September 5.

Travellers, both vaccinated and unvaccinated, will have to present a negative PCR test taken within 48 hours from departure, according to the The Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee.

Those travelling from green list countries will still have to take a PCR test on arrival, and another test on day six if they stay in Abu Dhabi.

Vaccinated travellers from other destinations that are not on the green list will take a PCR test on arrival, and another test on day four, and another on day eight if they remain in Abu Dhabi.

Unvaccinated travellers, including those that are exempt from vaccination coming from green list destinations will need to do a PCR test on arrival without quarantine and PCR tests on days six and nine.

Non-green list unvaccinated travellers take a PCR test on arrival, quarantine for 10 days, and then take a second PCR test on the ninth day of their stay in the emirate.

Abu Dhabi is steadily recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic, with much returning to normal.

Starting September 5 as well, Abu Dhabi governmental facilities and companies can return to the workplace at 100 percent capacity.

Those vaccinated or exempted from vaccination need to show a green status on the Alhosn app. Also, those unvaccinated are obligated to get a PCR test every week.

People not abiding by the Covid-19 rules and regulations are not allowed back into work. Also, expect a deduction from your annual leave or monthly salary in case you are absent.

Visitors, if vaccinated, still have to show a green status on the Alhosn app. However, the unvaccinated must provide a negative PCR test.

Remote working is allowed for only ONE parent of a child in grade 10 or below.
