The public sector will be off from July 19 to July 25

The UAE has announced the Eid Al Adha holidays for the public sector.

Federal ministries and entities will be off from Monday, July 19, and conclude Thursday, July22.

The announcement  came today from the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources.

In a circular, the authority said that work for all federal ministries and entities will resume on Sunday, 25th July, meaning the six day weekend is official for the public sector.

Eid Al Adha, or “feast of sacrifice” is the second of the biggest Islamic holidays, and is also the holiday around which he annual Hajj to Mecca, Saudi Arabia is held.

If you’re looking for how to celebrate with your family, the Etihad Arena on Yas Island will be hosting a number of huge Arab stars from July 22 to 23 to celebrate the holiday.

The names confirmed so far are Assala Nasri, Hussain Al Jassmi, Tamer Hosny and Myriam Fares.

There will also be three days of fireworks displaysover Yas Bay starting on the first day of Eid al Adha and broadcast each night on the Yas Island Instagram.
