There’s a ton to do in the venue, shaped like a giant oyster, including an abandoned streetscape, apartment, garage, as well as the aforementioned arcade, which hopefully will feature the underwater levels of Mario and Sonic.

The attraction is located 15 minutes from Downtown Dubai and 25 minuets from the Dubai International Airport, and offers a range of experiences.

Not an experienced diver? The location also offers diving courses and workshops, ranging from beginners to technical instructors.

The courses offered are across three categories: Discover, Dive, and Develop, open to both residents and visitors aged 10 and up.

‘Discover’ is for those who want to try a single dive or take the first steps towards certification.

‘Dive’ is for both newbies and experienced individuals who want to dive within their limits.

‘Develop’ is for training, to develop skills and gain certifications, from entry to instructor level.

The attraction was officially debuted on Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan’s Instagram account.

“An entire world awaits you at Deep Dive Dubai, the world’s deepest pool, with a depth of 60 meters (196 feet) #Dubai,” wrote Sheikh Hamdan.

Jarrod Jablonski, Deep Dive Dubai’s Director, is a record-holding cave diver, who wants to bring a bit of the real life cave diving experience to the UAE in a controlled, safe environment.

“For those seeking a unique experience, Deep Dive Dubai provides an exceptional, safe and controlled environment to learn all about diving. For experienced members of the freedive and scuba dive communities, it’s a facility and experience like no other.”

Deep Dive Dubai is also the region’s largest underwater film studio, complete with a media editing room, a video wall, 56 underwater cameras and the ability to create different moods with 164 lights positioned throughout the pool.

it will also be able to hold events for up to 100 people and onsite catering options, as well as offer space to hold meetings, incentives, conference, and has an event venue with the ability to hold a variety of events ranging from product launches, movie screenings and conferences through to birthday parties and weddings.
