This year’s Globe Soccer Awards will celebrate not just the best footballers and managers of 2020, but also the ones who have been the most effective so far in the 21st century.
The event will be significantly smaller than normal, but will take place on December 27 in Dubai.
“Despite the difficulties at the moment, we couldn’t stop celebrating this Gala.” said Tommaso Bendoni, Dubai Globe Soccer CEO.
“This very special edition is dedicated to all the stars of world football, who expose themselves to the virus and left their holidays to play three games a week, travelling around the world to play matches and distract millions of people from their troubles.”
This year will also be the first time that people around the world will be able to take part in picking the 28 finalists. Head to vote.globesoccer.com to be heard.
