Salons reopen for business across the Kingdom following quarantine curfew

What a better way to celebrate Father’s Day (June 21) than with the news of barbershops across Saudi Arabia open again following the countrywide pandemic lockdown.

The Kingdom’s authorities announce via Twitter (see below) that as of Sunday, June 21, men’s barbershops and women’s beauty salons will be back open for business.

The announcment comes as very welcome news after several weeks of wide spread curfew across the country.

Men’s grooming and barbershops have long played an important part in Saudi culture, and while it is great to see signs of businesses reopening, the authority has stressed the importance of maintianing social distancing and abiding by the guidelines as provided by the health ministry.
