Dubai has relaxed its lockdown measures. The emirate has reopened a select number of beaches across the city, while major parks and the iconic Dubai Frame will also welcome visitors again from today (May 29).
Dubai Municipality has announced that beaches at Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR), Al Mamzar, Jumeirah and Umm Seqeim are all open to the public again as authorities continue to relax strict lockdown measures enforced to curb the spread of coronavirus.
The public beaches and parks has been closed since the beginning of March.
In a social media post, members of the public were cautioned to continue taking precautionary measures in terms of social distancing, while face masks must be worn at all times.
Dubai’s museums are also to reopen in a phased manner from June 1.

Dubai has also allowed gyms, cinemas and a whole host of businesses open doors on May 27, 2020.
The emirate has it it will resume the gradual reopening of business activities from 6am to 11pm in the city’s latest move to ease Covid-19-related restrictions, according to government announcements.
This includes the reopening of cinemas and movie theaters, gyms and fitness centers, education and training centers, entertainment facilities like ice rinks and dolphinariums, all of which have been closed since the end of March, reports Arabian Business. Children under the years of 12 years old will still not be allowed.
Earlier in the month, Dubai hotel beaches reopened to hotel guests after weeks of being closed down. Bars, saunas and stream room facilities will remain closed, along with nightclubs and spas, according to new guidelines for hotels distributed by Dubai’s government on May 12.
