Elon Musk is a new father. Canadian singer Grimes gave birth to her first child on Monday. This was confirmed in a tweet by her partner and Tesla CEO boyfriend Elon Musk.
According to People magazine, Musk shared the exciting news on Twitter when a fan asked for an update on the baby after the Tesla CEO previously shared that Grimes was due on Monday.
“Mom & baby all good.A few hours away!,” he tweeted four hours later.

Grimes put out a selfie confirming her pregnancy and asking for tips on how they cope with working and having a baby.
“I’m sorry I haven’t been promoting my album properly or on social media more. This whole thing has been a bit of an ordeal.”
And later, in response to another Twitter question, he replied simply, “Boy.” When another user inquired about the baby’s name, Musk replied “X Æ A-12 Musk.”
Grimes tweeted a full breakdown of the name late Tuesday:
“•X, the unknown variable
•Æ, my elven spelling of Ai (love &/or Artificial intelligence)
•A-12 = precursor to SR-17 (our favorite aircraft). No weapons, no defenses, just speed. Great in battle, but non-violent
+ (A=Archangel, my favorite song) (metal rat)”
The 32-year-old singer continued, “Had some complications early on, a decent second trimester but starting to hurt everywhere at 25 weeks. I feel like I was woefully ill prepared cuz I dunno if pregnancy is as visible or discussed as it should be. I just didn’t really understand what I was getting into.”
The Tesla CEO has an on-again, off-again relationship with Grimes.
Elon Musk already has five children. A notorious workaholic, he spends most of his free time in either the Tesla or Space X offices or in one of his several Los Angeles mansions.
