In late March, Tunisia enforced a complete lockdown on its citizens to curb the spread of coronavirus in the country. Tunisia’s President Kais Saied on March 23 ordered the army to deploy in the streets to force people to respect a lockdown imposed to halt the spread of coronavirus, Reuters reported.
However, despite the measures, some people have not been taking it seriously enough. According to a journalist based in Tunisia, a big crowd of people playing football together were in for a rude awakening.

Since March 2, 14 people have died from coronavirus in Tunisia where 455 confirmed cases have tested positive for the disease.
AFP also reports that the country has deployed a “robocop” to help moniter the streets.
It can be heard voicing pre-recorded messages calling on citizens to “respect the law… and stay at home to limit the spread (of the virus) and safeguard human lives”.
