The PlayStation 5 controller will support both wired headphones and wireless headsets.
The news comes as Sony revealed the PlayStation 5’s controller, featuring DualSense – which will allow players to plug in wired headsets.
That comes from PlayStation lead team product manager Topshimasa Aoki:

Aoki said that there will be a traditional 3.5mm headphone port on the underside of its DualSense controller.
The inclusion of a traditional headphone port is a big deal; most smaryphones have done away with the headphone jack, opting either for wireless headphones or USB-C versions.
The news puts both Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 on equal footing, as both gaming companies now support regular headphone users.
The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X are both expected to launch during the holidays towards the end of the year.
