There’s one thing that hasn’t changed despite our new work from home setting: our daily cup of good brew.
Now, in an effort to keep the coffee community of the UAE and the world at large engaged and interacting with other coffee lovers, Mokha 1450, Dubai’s pecialty coffee brand, has announced the world’s first Home Coffee Brewing Championship.
And there’s big prize money as well. The Home Coffee Brewing Champion will take home USD 2,000 roughly AED 7,346 in cash, a 1 in 10 limited edition custom hand-carved Chemex featuring Mokha 1450’s marabea design, and four bags of Mokha 1450’s Single Origin coffees.
The second-place finisher will take home USD 1,000, a custom made Aeropress, and two bags of Mokha 1450’s Single Origin coffees, while third place will take home USD 500 a hand coffee grinder and one bag of Mokha 1450’s Single Origin coffee.
All you need to do is upload a video of to Instagram showcasing their home brewing technique, using the #homecoffeebrewingchampionship hashtag, and tagging Mokha 1450 and World Home Coffee Brewing Championship.
There are three rules to follow:
1. The coffee must be brewed from home – any home
2. Competitors should use whole specialty coffee beans
3. Have fun! (and embrace that all-day loungewear look)
