Google has just launched its much-hyped website dedicated to the coronavirus, but it lacks the screening tool that was hyped by Donald Trump.
Last week the US President said that Google has built a nationwide coronavirus screening website, that would be able to direct those worried they had contracted the virus to their nearest testing location.
However, the company never supported those claims.
Instead, the website is focussed on education, including “prevention and local resrouces”.
You can check out the website via google.com/covid19 where US users can find state-based information, safety recommendations, prevention tips and the latest news from trusted sources.
The website has begun rolling out in the US this week, but Google has said it will be available in more languages and across more countires in the near future.
Google’s sister company Verily has just launched a Covid-19 screening website for people located in two counties in California. Based on a variety of health questions, the website will tell you if you are elligible for a coronavirus test and where it can be conducted.
The company plans to expand its services around the US and eventually the world soon.
