Self-isolating can be a tad… boring. Fortunately, after some of the biggest names in music got together to hold living room concerts on social media, now big-name actors are getting involved.
The latest is Sir Patrick Stewart, who has taken to soothing lonely self-isolators with readings of Shakespear. He has said that he will continue reading one sonnet each day of the UK lockdown.
Stewart knows a thing or two about the Great Bard; the actor was part of the Royal Shakespeare Company for more than 15-years, which is why he’s so good at reading it.

After sharing the clip, the actor received praise from thousands of Twitter followers.
He wrote in response, “I was delighted by the response to yesterday’s posting of Shakespeare’s Sonnet 116, and it has led me to undertake what follows…”
2. When I was a child in the 1940s, my mother would cut up slices of fruit for me (there wasn't much) and as she put it in front of me she would say, “An apple a day keeps the doctor away.” How about, “A sonnet a day keeps the doctor away”? So…here we go: Sonnet 1. pic.twitter.com/kDoMNhdqcI

Stewart isn’t the only actor taking to boosting people’s moods. Last week comedian Ricky Gervais took to Instagram Live in an attempt to entertain those stuck at home.
