Uh-oh, it seems like Disney’s new streaming service has had a massive issue. Thousands of Disney customers say they have been hacked after signing up to its online streaming service.
Despite massive issues the service has managed to sign up more than 10-million subscribers in just one week. But now, in a major blow, hackers have not only stolen thousands of customers’ accounts they’ve also put them up for sale on the dark web, according to the BBC.
However, a spokesperson for Disney told CNBC the company “takes the privacy and security of our users’ data very seriously and there is no indication of a security breach on Disney+.”
Users said hackers were accessing their Disney+ accounts, logging them out of their devices and then changing the email and password associated with that account, according to ZDNet.
Security experts have alleged that if people used the same email and password for multiple sites then their data may have been compromised.

The service launched with problems, with thousands taking to Twitter to complain about glitches. According to Richard Windsor, an analyst at Radio Free Mobile, those technical issues may be “a good sign because it implies that the demand for the unique catalogue that it has to offer is stronger than expected, putting it in a very strong position long-term.”
