A Friends reboot is officially back on the table

Everyone’s favourite friends are heading back to your TV screens or so the rumours suggest. It’s been 25 years since the TV show debuted on NBC and now, according to The Hollywood Reporter, six core stars and the creators of the NBC comedy from Warner Bros. TV are in talks to reunite on HBO Max.

But, before you get your hopes uo too high, the deal is still not completely finalised.

Jennifer Aniston has hinted at a possible reunion on her recent interview on the Ellen Degeneres show.

“Listen we would love for there to be something, but we don’t know what that something is,” Aniston told DeGeneres last month. “So, we’re just trying. We’re working on something.”

She then proceeded to break Instagram with her debut post of the six main series cast Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer.

Like Disney and Apple, HBO wants to join the streaming bigwigs like Netflix and Amazon Prime with its own set of TV shows and movies. So the bid for a Friends reboot makes a lot of people wonder if this is a crowd pleaser show HBO Max would like to debut its service with.

Will we see a reboot? Well, we;ll have to wait and see.
