Invariably the UAE is known for its 24/7 sunshine and clear skies, every so often though, we get the unusual sight of dense fog or heavy showers. Here to show us the beauty in these things is the Crown Prince.
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, the Crown Prince of Dubai, is no stranger to whipping out his photography equipment and showing us the diversity Dubai has to offer. His popular Instagram handle Fazza has almost nine million patrons for good reason, he knows how to snap a good picture.
Recently His Highness took to the streets in his G-Wagon to make the most of the slippery conditions in rain-covered Dubai. Now he’s showing his followers all the juicy pictures you can get during dense fog.
With more supertall buildings than metro stops, Dubai is the perfect place to get a look at some buildings poking above the clouds. The Burj Khalifa of course took centre stage in Sheikh Hamdan’s recent Instagram post, with its 830 metre spire being shown soaring above the thick fog.
He captioned his Instagram footage with a message saying: “Today Dubai looks like this #goodmorning.”
Fog alerts were issued by the National Center of Meteorology for areas across Dubai, including Dubai International Airport and Al Maktoum International Airport. Some flight departures and arrivals were affected by the reduced visibility.
Reduced visibility was also reported over the Northern Emirates and even Abu Dhabi.
