Sheikh Hamdan made the most of rainy Dubai in his G-Wagon
While most of us cowered in our offices or looked from our apartment windows in awe at the pouring rain across Dubai, one familiar face out there made the most of the changing weather.
Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council is no stranger to living a bit adventurously, whether it’s exploring the world, or testing out his four-by-four in a rarely seen terrain.
‘Fazza’ shared a video of himself sitting in his massive G-Wagon testing how it faired against the slippery turns and lowered visibility. Sheikh Hamdan seemed more ready in his Wagon to tackle the rain than most of Dubai.
Rain is notoriously difficult to handle in Dubai, a city that is used to 24/7 sunshine, light showers can spell disaster, meaning rainfall often leads to minor or moderate flooding.
You can check out our video below on how exactly rain is such a menace here in the Emirates:
‘Fazza’ however seemed unfazed, simply posting with his video, which has almost 600,000 at the time of writing, “rain, rain, Dubai.” As we’ve pointed out, rain can actually be quite dangerous for UAE motorists unfamiliar with how the water changes the demands of driving. Sheikh Hamdan thankfully is on a quiet road and is totally safe and in control.
