The size 14 model will be featured in a collaboration ad campaign with U.K. lingerie brand Bluebella

Victoria’s Secret has been having a bit of a crisis on their hands from cancelling their annual fashion show to being accused of not being inclusive enough the brand has now appointed its first ever plus-size model.

The fashion brand is featuring its first size 14 model, Ali Tate-Cutler, in ads as part of its collaboration with Bluebella.

“When I went in today to the VS store for the launch of the collaboration it felt surreal,” Cutler told E News. “I never expected that I was going to see an image of myself on the wall next to these top super models that I have been looking up to since I was a little girl.”

She posted the news on her Instagram page and said: “I believe I’m the first size 14 on @victoriassecret? Regardless I’m pretty stoked to work with a brand I idolized when I was a teen. Great step in the right direction for bodies,” she wrote beneath shots of herself in a black lace teddy.”

Victoria’s Secret has long been criticised for its lack of inclusive sizing and other brands like Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty have capatalised on the plus size market with sizing options.
