He plays a badass billionaire

The trailer for Ryan Reynolds‘ new Netflix thriller 6 Underground is out and he’s a badass billionaire out to save the world from bad guys.

Reynolds and the cast were famously in Abu Dhabi filming for this new film this time last year and if the footage in the trailer is anything to go by then we can guess that in true Michael Bay style, the movie will be full of explosions and car chases.

Sharing the news on Twitter, Reynolds and his ever present sarcastic wit commented on Bay’s love for blowing up things: “How Michael Bay Stopped Worrying and Love Explosions More.”

The trailor is heavily laced with a lot of Abu Dhabi shots, from the Louvre to the city skyline to the Aldar headquarters and the Sheikh Zayed bridge.

The film has been supported in the UAE by Abu Dhabi’s twofour54, is set to be released on December 13, and is Netflix’s most expensive feature film to date, costing around Dhs560 million to make.

The film also stars Dave Franco, Melanie Laurent, Corey Hawkins, Adria Arjona, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Ben Hardy, Payman Maadi and Lior Raz.

It will be available on Netflix on December 12.
