The news was revealed at the San Diego Comic-Con and Portman will be reprising her MCU role as Jane Foster. But news has it that she’s also going to take up will be taking up the hammer in the fourth Thor movie, Thor: Love and Thunder.
This is all speculation at this point as Marvel has kept all the information regarding her role a tight secret. In the comic books though, Jane Foster became Thor after the original Thor was deemed unworthy to wield his hammer, Mjolnir. So, it’s not hard for fans to perhaps put two and two together and hope for a female worthy Thor, Goddess of Thunder.
She appeared on stage at Comic Con where she was given the hero’s famous hammer.
“I’ve always had hammer envy,” Portman said on stage.
The movie comes out November 5th, 2021 so we still have a while to see the might feamle Thor on stage. IS there a way to prebook tickets two years ahead of time?
