It’s no secret that Lotus is making a statement in the car world, reminding us all it can be a big player. It is making this statement with its latest Evija car – an all electric hypercar. What has been secret is what the car will look like, till now.
When you’re forking over $2.1 million for your next car, you best hope it is a head turner, well the Evija is surely that.
Inspired by 1950s race cas, the carbon-fibre car looks suitbly modern alongside the likes of the McLaren P1, Tesla Roadster and the Ferrari LaFerrari.
With nearly 2,000 horsepower, this car is serious, really serious. It can go from 0-62 MPH in under three seconds and hit speeds well over 200 MPH says Lotus. It will also take only nine seconds to reach an impressive 187 MPH.
Thanks to a 350kW charger, the car can, wait for it – recharge in 18 minutes, with a range of 270 miles.
