- Valhalla joins Valkyrie in taking its name from ancient Norse mythology
- Continuation of a naming tradition stretches back seven decades
- It’s the latest mid-engined addition to Aston Martin ‘V’ cars series
Aston Martin is a brand that is long synonymous with the famous James Bond franchise and it’s newly revealed hypercar ‘Valhalla’ is no different. The new car that costs a cool US $2 million, will star in Bond 25 movie.
The car will come with a high-output turbocharged V6 petrol engine and battery-electric hybrid system. You’ll have to be quick to get your hands on it though as just 500 Coupe examples of the all-carbon fibre hypercar will be built.
The Aston Martin ‘V’ is in keeping with its previous Vantage, Vulcan, and Volante lines.
Codenamed AM-RB 003 the 200mph-plus hybrid will be one of three Aston Martin’s that will appear in the film. The other cars we could see in the movie as reported by motor1.com and Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet, is the return of the Aston Martin Series II V8 Vantage, a car last seen in the Timothy Dalton era in The Living Daylights.
In the still-yet-to-be-named Bond 25, 007 will also be taking the wheel of an all-electric Aston Martin Rapide E, per a report from the Sun. The choice was spearheaded by director Cary Fukunaga, who really wanted to see Bond go green.
