The designer is trading catwalks for turntables this summer in Las Vegas

The artistic director of Louis Vuitton menswear – Virgil Abloh – will be entertaining his other career this summer, as he becomes nightlife resident at the Wynn Las Vegas.

And it’s not the first time Abloh has played at the luxury Las Vegas resort. The designer and creator of Off-White first spun the decks at the Wynn’s XS Nightclub back in 2017.

This summer Abloh is expected to return, to deliver sets at both XS and Encore Beach Club starting June 29th.

According to Alex Cordova, Wynn Nightlife Managing Partner, it is Abloh’s penchant for polymathy that first drew them to the artistic director. “Pushing the boundaries of where art, fashion and music collide has been a driving force behind our success, where every experience we present to guests first passes a litmus test for originality,”

“We are honored to be working with such a visionary who appreciates the impact of artistry, and applies it to everything he does.”

Along with spinning the decks, Abloh will also be taking the time to introduce Las Vags to Off-White.

Abloh has a long and storied history with the Wynn Las Vegas. Last year he teamed up with Japanese contemporary artist Takashi Murakami to create a nine-foot kinetic neon multimedia scultpture called ‘Arrows and Flowers’. The sign is now a signpost at the hotel’s luxury retail area.
