- Dubai Opera will stage a red carpet premiere event for Paramount Pictures’ Rocketman
- The movie follows the life of pop legend Elton John
- It will host a VIP invite-only screening on Tuesday June 11, before it hits cinemas in the region on June 13
- The public will have the opportunity to walk the red carpet of Dubai Opera’s first movie premiere with only 500 public seats going on sale
Get ready to feel some serious Elton John love at the Dubai Opera as it gets ready to host its first ever red carpet movie screening of Paramount Pictures’ Rocketman on June 11.
This VIP-only screening will have a very select number of seats, so if you’re not one of the lucky few invited to watch the Elton John biopic, there are only 500 seats going on sale for the public.
Rocketman follows the epic transformation Reginald Dwight from shy piano prodigy to international superstar Elton John.
The movie, which is will feature Elton John’s most beloved songs and performed by star Taron Egerton, also stars Jamie Bell as Elton’s longtime lyricist and writing partner Bernie Taupin, Richard Madden as Elton’s first manager, John Reid, and Bryce Dallas Howard as Elton’s mother Sheila Farebrother.
Jasper Hope, chief executive of Dubai Opera said: “I am so pleased to announce our first ever red-carpet film event is the GCC premiere of Rocketman, an epic musical about a truly extraordinary artist.”
The movie was screened at the 72nd Cannes Film Festival and recieved rave reviews.
