Is it genius? Or “one long drawn out Wikipedia entry”

Nobody really knew if Bohemian Rhapsody, the Queen biopic centred around Freddie Mercury, would ever see the light of day.

The project had been stuck in development for nearly a decade, churning through a number actors and directors in that time, including both Sacha Baron Cohen and David Fincher. There were disagreements with the surviving members of the band, the script was re-written a couple of times, and it looked destined to fail.

But it’s finally here!

Rami Malek takes centre-stage as the legendary lead vocalist, and last night saw the social media embargo lift (which means film reviewers around the world were allowed to Tweet out their first opinions).

It’s safe to say the opinions are mixed:

Bohemian Rhapsody will be released in Dubai on November 1.
