- A ‘Gold Sheikh’ phone has been created in honour of Sheikh Zayed
- The phone will retail for $37,000
- It is part of Caviar’s Tsar phone range that celebrates founders of nations and dynasties
- Only seven ‘Gold Sheikh’ phones will be created
From the founder of the Qin dynasty in China, to the Hung Kings in Vietnam, the Caliph Abu Bakr, King Charles the Great, and Tsar Ivan the Terrible all are part of a very select group — one that has a dedicated phone designed to honour them. The UAE’s Sheikh Zayed joins this very select group with the ‘Gold Sheikh’ phone created in his honour by Caviar.
The phone brand Caviar has designed a pure gold phone nicknamed ‘Gold Sheikh’, with a hexagonal design decorated with engravings and diamonds, and will cost $37,670.
The phone features the falcon crest of the UAE, inset with precious stones and a contrasting green back colour. It weighs 300 grams and the company said that the phone is designed for “modern sheikhs gifted with charisma, nobility and majesty of the powerful historical personality”.
Each of the phones has been designed keeping in mind the culture of each country, and include precious elements, emblems and hieroglyphs, national ornaments and patterns. For example, the model dedicated to China is decorated with the image of the Sky dragon; the model inspired by Abu Bakr with the first Shahadah; and the phone named after Charles the Great is decorated with an image of the Fleur de Lys.
However, only seven of the phones will be released to mark the seven Emirates of the UAE. So if you want to buy one, you’d better get a move on it.
