According to UFC President Dana White

UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov is coming to Dubai to lay low, after his recent fight (and post-match brawl) over Conor McGregor

That’s according to UFC President Dana White, who mentioned that Nurmagomedov would be heading to the UAE as part of his post-fight tour.

Speaking to TMZ about the fight, White said that he doubts Nurmagomedov – who previously threatened to quit the UFC – would really be turning his back on the league.

“We’re good. We’re good with Khabib” admitsWhite, “I don’t know [who he’s going to fight next]. We haven’t talked about that yet,” he said. “He’s doing this whole tour right now. He’s going to UAE…..let this guy enjoy his win and then we’ll figure that out.”

That puts Nurmagomedov’s record at 27-0, although his most recent win over Conor McGregor was not without incident. His US$2 million fight purse is currently being held by the Nevada State Athletic Commission, as punishment for the incident.

Speaking about the fight, White admitted that Nurmagomedov got a little bit ‘fired up’. “That was a very emotional fight for him, obviously,” he said. “At the end of the day, Khabib’s a great guy. We’ve always had a great relationship with him.”
