But will it make his sisters jealous?

Anwar Hadid has made new steps to get out from under the shadow of his famous model sisters, and bagged himself a lucrative new gig at Hugo

It has been just three years since Anwar Hadid had his modelling debut. Yes, Gigi and Bella’s little brother has since hit the runway for a number of designers, and the man has even named the face of Hugo Boss Menswear’s Hugo line back in 2017.

Apparently, if it ain’t broke you don’t fix it in fashion. Which is why he can now be seen in the new Hugo fall 2018 campaign, shot by American artist and fashion photographer Collier Schorr. Last month Hadid shared a sneak peek at the new collection to his 2.2 million Instagram followers, depicting a painting of himself on the side of a building.

You’d excuse Anwar Hadid for having confidence issues. The 19-year-old didn’t just grow up with two supermodel sisters, but his mum is a Dutch former model and reality television star, while his father is a property mogul. That’s a lot for anyone to live up to.

Anwar was signed up, like his sisters before him, with IMG models at the age of 16. While becoming professionally good looking was never something he aspired to be he’s now starting to embrace it. He walked – along with both his sisters – in Tommy Hilfiger‘s RockNow event in London, as well as Moschino and Philipp Plein runway shows earlier this year.

Obviously, becoming the Face of Hugo’s Fall line for 2018 is a step in the right direction. Although, Hadid has said multiple times he’d like to open his own label someday.

Will he one day have his own sisters working for him? Well, that’s sibling rivalry for you.
