The 59 year-old’s latest Instagram snaps show him in fighting fit condition

Dolph Lundgren just goes to show that even at the age of 59, the chiselled ’80s action stars from our childhoods will always have a more impressive physique than us.

Following a fairly intense training regime in order to reprise the role of Russian boxer Ivan Drago in the upcoming sequel to 2015’s Creed, Lundgren’s various gym-related Instagram posts have started to make us a feel more than a little self-conscious.

Lundgren is obviously a man who still eats his spinach every day. Whilst information regarding the plot of Creed II  remains fairly under wraps, Lundgren’s focus on fitness would seem to indicate that we’ll see the menacing Drago back in the boxing ring to at least some extent. Whether that’s as a fighter or a coach remains to be seen.

Tagging Sylvester Stallone in the Rocky-esque training montage he posted online, one thing we’re certainly looking forward to is an encounter between the Russian behemoth and the man that finally broke him. That being said, Sly hasn’t exactly been letting himself go either…

Although we don’t know the exact capacity that Lundgren’s character is going to be returning in, he may even show up as a good guy this time round, one thing we can expect is that Drago will have an encounter with Michael B. Jordan’s eponymous Adonis Creed to get out the way – a tête-à-tête that might be a tad awkward considering that Drago was the man responsible for his father’s death.

Whether he killed your dad or not, would you really want to get into a fight with Dolph Lundgren?
