While they might spend most of their time sneaking into celebrity Twitter accounts to cause five minutes of minor hassle, every now and again those pesky ‘hackers’ will do something a little bit more destructive… like placing 20 million personal email accounts up for sale on the dark web, for example.
According to HackRead, a vendor going by the name of SunTzu583 (someone’s read Art of War) has placed a huge amount of decrypted Gmail and Yahoo accounts up for sale on the dark web; with most of the data stolen from breaches to Dropbox, Adobe, LinkedIn and Bitcoin security forum accounts.

Obviously this is will be quite concerning if you have accounts with either company, but according to HackReads a large amount of those being sold are inactive, with the mythical SunTzu583 mentioning that “Not all these combinations work directly on Gmail/Yahoo, so don’t expect that all these email and passwords combinations work on Gmail/Yahoo.”
Basically, change your password from ‘BigDog123’ and keep a vigilant eye on all of your email activity.
