Gimbal and camera company DJI has unveiled a rebranding of its popular smartphone Osmo line. The new OM 4 Smartphone Stabilizer uses magnets to attach your blower, making it quicker and easier to instantly get super-steady footage.
DJI’s OM 4 comes with a foldable design making it small enough to cart around with you each day, and that magnetic attachment system means connecting your phone to the gimbal has never been simpler.
The general idea is you stick a small metallic clamp to your phone, that will then stick to the gimble. Once attached via magnetic ring holder, the gimbal will use its three-axis stabilizer with upgraded motors that will support heavier weights than its predecessors.
The OM4 uses Bluetooth to talk to your phone, and lets you control different settings via the DJI Mimo app. That gives you access to ActiveTracking – where you can set the camera to follow your face – as well as pre-programmed movement modes such as Timelapses.
The DJI OM 4 Smartphone Stabilizer is available right now.
