New hardware and software will make even drone pilot novices an expert

There isn’t much to do outside at the moment, which means aerial photography might just be something worth springing for.

DJI certainly thinks so, as it has just unveiled the Mavic Air 2- a drone that can handle 4K videography and fly in the air for more than 34-minutes at t a time.

The foldable drone now has a half-inch CMOS image sensor, a larger battery and a new controller. Footage captured on the 48-megapixel camera goes up to 60fps and includes a new HDR mode for images (which should let you take more striking shots).

The new drone also comes with a better controller, which along with new smart flying software makes getting the Mavic Air 2 in the air easier than ever before. That gives it an increased range from 4km to 10km.

DJI has also added in a new 8K Hyperlapse mode.

It weighs in at 570g, which means you will have to register it in most European countries. To fly it here in the UAE, you will require a consumer drone license (which can be applied for here).
