GoPro has fast become a fan favourite with video and photo pros. Now, the company has revealed two new products — the $399 Hero8 Black and the $499 Hero Max.
The company claims both the new products come with “hyper smooth 2.0 stabilization and built-in mounting” and it has improved in-body video stabilisation, which is now available for all video frame rates and resolutions.
The only big change from the Hero7 to the Hero8 is that now, the mounting system is designed straight into the case. So there’s really no need for a frame suction cups, selfie sticks and it’s completely waterproof down to 33ft (10m).
The GoPro Hero8 Black shoots at resolutions between 1080p and 4K and it also makes it easier to edit videos and change resolutions. Both the new Hero8 models are equipped with “TimeWarp” effect with automatic speed selection that users can use to just tap to speed it up or slow it down.
But that’s not all. The company has also revealed some special add-ons which they call “mods” targetting vloggers specifically with a shotgun microphone for improved audio, a small light, and flip-up screen that allowing self-shooters to frame themselves and 8x slo-mo speeds.
If this new promo video doesn’t make you want to buy it all, then we’re not sure what will. You can buy it in stores from October 20.
