Ten years is a long time in tech

The iPhone celebrates its tenth year anniversary this year. Yup, you read that right… TEN years. But before Apple‘s revolutionary smartphone took over the world in 2007, the company wasn’t sure just how its game changing new product should function. One of its original ideas was to replicate the interface on its early-generation iPods – and by that they meant by transferring its staple click-wheel to the touch screen.

It sounds a bit silly, in retrospect. But as you’d come to expect with a company as efficient as Apple, the US-tech giant put its tasked its R&D department to developed some test kits. Now, thanks to a recently published video by Sonny Dickson, we can now have a first look at the iOS precursor named “AcornOS.” Enjoy.
