For those in search for a hyper-luxurious car, the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class is the right place to look. In fact, even the famed German marque are calling it the new top-line vehicle the ‘ultimate luxury’.
Technically known as the Z223, the all new Mercedes-Maybach S680 4MATIC was launched at an exclusive invite only event at the private jet terminal in Dubai South, giving a sneak peek into what will inevitably become the future of luxury automotive for the next decade.
On the exterior, this stunning new model features a two-tone paint finish option with the dividing line applied by hand. Of the several unique features that makes it stand out, the chrome fin on the distinctively redesigned hood it impressive, while the grille, too, looks incredibly distinguished with those stunning vertical chrome pinstripes.
But it’s not just longer and more colourful; the new Mercedes-Maybach S-Class is built with exclusive larger rear doors affixed with a quarter light in the C-pillar and the much-coveted Maybach logo inset. The rear doors are also installed as comfort doors with electric assistance for easy opening.

In the Middle East, the Mercedes-Maybach S 680 4matic will be powered by a V12 engine with an output of 630 hp (463 kW).
Because it is still a pre-production vehicle, Daimler haven’t divulged acceleration figures or price, we do however know that it will be the last ever V12 in line with the global trend environmentally friendly vehicles and electrification, which Daimler have firmly entered with their EQ range.
The wheelbase has been extended by 7in, making a fantastic larger rear cabin. The front-seat backrests are clad in stunning wood making it look like lounge seating, while additional comfort features like massage seats and neck/shoulder heating, makes riding in it an authentic chauffeured experience.

The Maybach S-Class also includes adaptive rear lighting, where passengers can adjust the brightness, size, and position of the light for a working or relaxing ambiance.
To get in we don’t need to strain ourselves too much. A simple touch of this button and the doors open automatically. Now that we have effortlessly gotten into the back seats we can discuss essentially why this car was built. The totality of the comfort and luxury of the car concentrates on these two seats in the back.

There are a whole host of features that you might find on comparable cars in this range like the Bentley Flying Spur or the Rolls-Royce Ghost.
The champagne fridge not only accommodates your Dom Perignon Rose Gold 1996 but can go low enough to chill other bottles too.
From this centre console, you can pull out a tablet and essentially control all features of the car. You can send directions to your chauffeur or play music on the Burmester 4D speaker system with its 30 speakers. That fourth dimension is basically two massive subwoofers that deliver bass directly onto the back seats for a more immersive listening experience.

The all new Mercedes-Maybach S680 4MATIC is made as a symbol of luxury and comfort and I suspect that the owner of this car wouldn’t be the kind of person that is preoccupied with being late…. as the G650 will wait.
