Lamborghini unveils new SC20 Roadster (with no windshield)

Five months ago Lamborghini unveiled its most powerful motor yet. Today, it has done it again with a brand new motor the SC20.

The SC20 was developed with Lambo’s motorsport division, Squadra Corse.

The one-off motor is street-legal, but is intended for use on the track. It packs a Lamborghini Apex Engine, with a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V-12 engine, along with the automaker’s seven-speed independent shifting rod transmission.

The exact top speed and rate of acceleration has yet to be released.

Designed by Mitja Borkert at Lamborghini’s Centro Stile design department, the car is made of a unibody carbon fiber chassis with a distinctive front splitter that reduces the need for a windshield.
