The pair created a limited edition bike based on a hypercar

To list the two most dominant names in the world of supercars and motorbikes, it would be Lamborghini and Ducati respectively.

They have just teamed up for the first time to translate what makes Lamborghini’s impossibly fast Sian FKP 37 hybrid hypercar into a motorbike. The result is the Ducati Diavel 1260.

The bike doesn’t look entirely different than the Diavel 1260 S that hit roads last year, however this version comes with an entirely new body, now made from carbon fiber. It also comes painted in the same Verde Gea and Electrum Gold paint scheme, with exposed carbon-fibre accents.

The bike also comes with a hexagon-shaped exhaust, and a large Y detail on the seat that is more or less identical than the Sian.

Under the hood liesk a 1262 cc Ducati Testastretta DVT motor – that packs 157 horsepower.

“In creating a Diavel inspired by the Siàn, we are celebrating the values we share with Lamborghini: We are Italian, we are sporty, and design is a distinctive element for our creations,”

Ducati’s design director Andrea Ferraresi said in a statement. “The Diavel 1260 Lamborghini was designed using the same stylistic language that distinguishes the super sports car, so we have redesigned the elements that most characterize the Diavel.”

Only 630 of the Diavel Lamborghini will be produced, and will be available next year for US$32,000 (that’s around US$8,000 more than a standard Diavel bike).
