Have you heard? Peugeot does boats now (and we wonder why they didn’t before)

Introducing the  Sea Drive Concept, and the closest thing Peugeot could come up with that’s a car for the water. 

Developed in collaboration with Peugeot’s Design Lab and Beneteau boat-builders, the concept borrows its design from the company’s SUVs. It also borrows the compact steering wheel, the 17-inch touchscreen display, as well as the Nappa leather upholstery. 

Powering that touchscreen is Beneteau’s Ship Control technology, which touts the ability to let you command the vessel as easy as with a car. It gives you access to lighting, climate control, navigation, audio and engine controls at a swipe of the touchscreen. 

It’s still just a concept for now, but give it a few years and you’ll start to see a more tangible version emerge much in the same way as Mercedes’ Silver Arrow Yacht, below:
