Prime Gaming is officially available in the UAE, but some users are having problems getting Amazon’s gaming service working

Amazon has given its Prime Members some gaming perks, more commonly known as Twitch Prime.

Amazon owns Twitch, and has just made its premium membership package free for all Prime Members (hence, Amazon Prime Gaming).

Prime Gaming currently sits alongside other Prime member perks, including Prime Video, Prime Music and Prime Books.

The good news is that Amazon Prime Gaming is officially available here in the UAE. The bad is that some UAE Prime Members are having trouble accessing the gaming membership, as well as the ton of content that comes with it.

For those unawares, Prime Gaming gives you free games, in-game content and a monthly subscription to Twitch.

Last month saw free games such as Metal Slug 2, Blazing Star, Shaq Fu: A Leged Reborn and Dungeon Rushers. We also saw free in-game items for Grand Theft Auto V, Apex Legends, Fifa 20 and League of Legends.

Having trouble accessing Amazon Prime Gaming in the UAE?

Gamers unable to access Amazon Prime Gaming have taken to social media and reddit to ask for help. While Amazon Prime does exist in the UAE (and indeed, does Prime Gaming) some users are having trouble getting access to their membership goodies.

That’s down to your Amazon account settings.

If you are seeing an Amazon Prime Gaming error, or a message saying you are not currently subscribed, the issue is simple.

Head to amazon.ae and then click ‘your account’ from the top right drop-down menu. Once there, click the ‘manage digital devices’ setting under the digital content and devices tab, and from there you need to ensure your location settings are matched to your Amazon Prime Gaming location (that would be the UAE).

You also need to ensure that your Twitch Account is connected. You can do that from the Amazon Account page also.

Then you should be able to access gaming.amazon.com where you can claim your games, special items and a lot more.
