Ahead of the Middle East launch, the game dropped its official story trailer

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is almost here, and to celebrate Ubisoft has dropped the official story trailer ahead of the UAE launch on November 10.

The trailer focusses on Eivor and his friend Sigurd, who appears to be the leader of a Norwegian clan. It appears the clan can no longer stay in Norway, and must push into England instead. The clan will do whatever they need to in making England their new home, which will be a bit of a challenge thanks to their penchant for pillaging.

That sets up the story which will no doubt include quite a lot of historical events and figures, and ultimately tie in Assassin’s Creed’s overarching plot of the Assassins vs the Templars.

Here’s the official synopsis:

“Driven from Norway by endless wars and dwindling resources in ninth century AD, players will lead Eivor’s clan of Norsemen across the icy North Sea to the rich lands of England’s broken kingdoms. Players must carve out a new future for their clan, reliving the ruthless fighting style of Viking warriors with a revamped combat system that includes the ability to dual-wield weapons against a greater variety of enemies than ever before. To secure resources, players can lead raids to select locations using their longship to earn much-needed riches and supplies. As the Vikings begin to settle in their new home, they encounter resistance from the Saxons, including King Aelfred of Wessex, who denounces them as heathens and looks to be the sole ruler of a civilized England. Against all odds, Eivor must do what is necessary to keep Valhalla within reach.”

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be out on Xbox and PlayStation on November 10 in the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
