The massive multiplayer game is expected to land by the end of 2021

Riot Games has finally shed some light on the Massive Multiplayer Online version of its popular League of Legends.

The news came after a string of tweets from Riot’s Vice President Greg Street.

It was previously revealed that Riot was working on three different games, based on current and new franchises. Valorant was one such title, and the new MMO appears to be another.

“Because it is time, my new job at Riot is to kick off a big (some might say massive) game that many of you, and many Rioters, have been asking us to create,” said Street.

After multiple questions asking if the ‘something big’ meant an MMO game, Street replied, “It is an MMO.”

That is just about it when it comes to information about the upcoming game. There has been no trailer, press release or other teasers of the game.

But while details are few and far between at the moment, Riot is pretty good at slowly drip-feeding this type of content. We’d imagine the game to arrive sometime toward the latter part of next year.
