Universal Studios Japan is set to open the extension later today

Super Nintendo World – which is set to open up in Osaka in February – has just revealed a video guided tour of the park, led by Super Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto.

Some of the main highlights include Princess Peach’s castle, including paintings on the wall (that correspond to levels in Super Mario 64) to Mount Beanbole – a building that looks similar to those scene in the 2D sides roller.

Elsewhere, characters such as Yoshi, Toad and Goombas can be spotted across the park’s various rides and attractions.

Miyamoto also showcased the ‘Power-Up Band’ which is a device that will link to your smartphone to enable virtual experiences within the park. It also records the wearer’s progress inside.

And of course, there is one whopper of a gift shop. You can check out the full video below:
