Spain’s PRIMACOV proves the music festival isn’t dead

After having to terminate its 2020 event as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic, Primavera Audio Festival successfully held a trial COVID-safe occasion in Barcelona, Spain, this weekend.

Entitled PRIMACOV, the special test event was held at Sala Apolo– a 1600-capacity place– and also invited 1,042 attendees to example the audios of local DJs.

The festival used rapid examinations that provide test results as quickly as fifteen minutes, and each participant needed to have multiple tests before being given entry. 

In a press release, PRIMACOV stated that the objective of the test was “to validate these sort of examinations as an incredibly useful tool to be able to execute any type of occasion, whether music or otherwise, without social distancing.”
