Last December, League of Legends developers Riot Games teased the launch of new games and game types.
The first of which became Valorant, which took the strategy game’s hero elements and applied them to first person shooters. Today, the second game from Riot Forge has been announced and it will give the guys at Blizzard’s World of Warcraft something to think about.
League of Legends: Ruined King will take place in the same world of the massively-popular MOBA game, but will be an open-world RPG. At launch there will be two areas of Runeterra to explore; a port town named Bilgewater and a cursed land called Shadow Isles.
You will take control of some of League of Legends’ most beloved champions, including Miss Fortune, Illaoi, Braum, Yasuo, Ahri and Pyke. The plot will roughly involve stopping a mysterious enemy known as the Ruined King, and will include dungeon and exploration modes, along with a PvP tournament-esque modes.
Along with the trailer, Riot Forge also confirmed that he game will be coming to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, along with its next-generation consoles out this month, along with the Nintendo Switch and PC.
Ruined King: A League of Legends Story will be out early next year.
