Treyarch has unveiled exactly what the new Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Multiplayer modes will be; and shooter fans are pretty excited about it.
Regular CoD players will be immediately familiar with the general multiplayer, but Black Ops Cold War will bring a revamped Create-a-Class system, faster gameplay and an entirely new Scorestreaks system.
Along with these small changes, there will also be new maps, weapons, perks and game modes.
Of particular note is the ship-to-ship combat mode. One of the coolest maps available is called Armada, which is only available in a new 64-player Combined Arms mode. It takes place on several different warships floating about the Black Sea. Control points are spread about various place, which lets team traverse the map via boats, zip-lines or good old fashioned swimming.
There is one totally new game mode coming to Cold War, and that is VIP Escort. Effectively, it’s a protect mission where a team need to defend a VIP as they move to an extraction point. The other team tries to stop that from happening, natch.
Black Ops Cold War will be the first Call of Duty game to land on PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X. It will also bring Warzone along for the ride.
There is a Beta for the new Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War from October 8-12.
