In honour of Batman’s 80th birthday, Epic Games’ Fortnite has released a plethora of Dark Knight items for you to play with.
Fortnite is always on the lookout for franchises to link up with to strengthen its already colossal fanbase. Borderlands, NFL, Marvel, have all had the honour to enter the Fortnite battlefield. From September 21 till October 1, it’s Batman’s turn to enter the fray.
In case you were unaware, September 21 marks Batman Day, the anniversary of Bruce Wayne first appearing in a DC Comic. This year is extra special as it marks the 80th birthday of the Caped Crusader. Fortnite has seized this celebration and released a host of Batman-themed items.
Players now have a wide variety of Bruce Wayne gadgets in order to secure that Victory Royale. Such as the Batman Grapnel Gun and the Explosive Batarang, as well as Batman outfits and Catwoman outfits.
The Grapnel Gun is able to launch players in whichever direction they fire. The Batarang is a homing explosive device, aim it at opponents and it will explode when you get close, aim it at a building and it acts like a landmine.
Twisted Town has been transformed into Gotham City and everyone now has unlimited glider ‘redoploy’ so you can fly around just like Batman and complete the exclusive challenges during the event. There’s also chances to win in-game rewards from the ‘Welcome to Gotham City Bundle’.
