Award-winning Latin chef, Richard Sandoval, maybe one of the big-name chefs that has managed to navigate the perilous waters of Dubai’s dining scene – thanks to his high-end Mexican restaurants Maya and Toro Toro – but his luck in adapting the latter to Abu Dhabi has been a long-time coming.
With Toro Toro having successful branches in Mexico and New York, its latest opening in the UAE capital is finally expected to open, following delays.
Opening in September at Jumeirah Etihad Towers, Sandoval’s famed restaurant brings with it a twist on the contemporary Latin experience by artfully blending Pan Latin flavours and creative sharing plates.
The handsome new restaurant will seat up to 105 guests, with a 50-seat outdoor patio. Similar to its sister restaurants, the new Abu Dhabi venue will have a lounge area that caters for those who wish to dance the night away.
