If you’re an Asian-food fanatic, then Din Tai Fung in Abu Dhabi is the place for you.
Available in 13 countries worldwide, Din Tai Fung will finally open its doors in the capital in early 2022 at The Galleria Al Maryah Island.
The Galleria is already known for Abu Dhabi’s casual and fine-dining options, and now Din Tai Fung will join the list. Dubai residents can find Din Tai Fung branches at The Mall of the Emirates, The Dubai Mall, and Nakheel Mall.
Din Tai Fung’s growth has been extraordinary, and we know why—because it produces hands-down the best dim sum and dumplings in the Middle East. The restaurant doesn’t take reservations, and so features daily queues of people lining up outside, but trust us… it’s worth the wait.
It offers both Chinese and Taiwanese food. It provides different food options such as meat, seafood, and vegetarian options.
Mr. Yang, only 20 years old, traveled to Taiwan as a refugee with 20 dollars in his pocket and decided to open his shop called Din Tai Fung. However, Yang and his wife dedicated half of the store to selling cooking oil and the other half to make and sell Xiao Long Bao, steamed pork soup dumplings. These broth-filled dumplings are famous in Jiangnan, China. They are steamed and served in a bamboo basket.
The restaurant won many awards including the Michelin star at its Hong Kong branch, which became an international brand. Din Tai Fung has more than 170 stores worldwide, and luckily four of them are here.
Abu Dhabi is also expecting a snow park. Reem Mall’s snow park, called Snow Abu Dhabi, is promised to be ‘one of the world’s largest snow parks.’ The layout should be familiar to those who have visited Ski Dubai, but with some special offerings that Ski Dubai does not, including themed characters and 13 thrilling rides and attractions.
Reem Mall shared on its social media channels their current progress in building the gargantuan new shopping destination, and it appears to be almost 95 percent done.
